What do business customers want from an online Ink store?

When polling customers we confirmed most of our theories.  However, there was one learning that completely surprised our market research team.  See the 6 most important aspects when buying from an online Ink store:
  1. Best pricing ~ Not a surprise.  We don’t know any customers who prefer to pay more for their printing consumables.  Customers who believe they’re getting the best possible price (ie., “a great deal”) are likely to buy from that supplier.
  2. Availability of products ~ Of course.  When customers find the desired ink product online and are agreeable with the price, they want the items NOW.  Furthermore, customers expect to receive shipment of the ink products in 3 to 5 days otherwise they may look for other alternatives.
  3. Information about products ~ Some customers simply need more information before they’re willing to open their wallet and purchase.  The ability to quickly find general descriptions, technical specifications, and social proof about the product’s effectiveness are the minimum ante.  Also, proper information about the ink minimizes the likelihood of product returns.
  4. Great buying experience ~ Customer expectations when buying ink online have increased.  Regardless of where the customer is shopping online, they want an “Amazon-like” purchasing experience.  eCommerce sites that invest in the latest website technology are positioned for success.  Shopify was named the #1 most trusted eCommerce platform.
  5. Secure checkout ~ We fully anticipated secure checkout to be a top 1 or 2 requirement, especially in this world of identity theft and data breaches.  However, less than 20% of polled customers were remotely concerned.  This further supports the need for employing top technology and delivering a fantastic buying experience.
  6. Technical assistance ~ Inevitably customers have technical questions about the ink products they would like to buy.  Top performing ink stores provide the customer with various options to get their technical questions answered….via phone, email, FAQ or instant chat.
For additional context, the market research team at Ink Pronto sells to business customers who use HP thermal inkjet cartridges for Mail Addressing and Package Coding print applications.

IQ990 the latest and greatest heatless ink formulation

In the evolution of solvent-based inks for HP thermal inkjet (TIJ) systems, IQ990 is a true pioneer in the industry.  The growth of TIJ for package coding and mail addressing applications has been accelerated thanks to IQ990.  Consider the many benefits.

  • Substrates:  IQ990 is capable of printing on OPP (oriented polypropylene) and other films that cannot be printed by conventional ink formulations.  Consider this ink for varnishes, gravure print surfaces, UV overcoats & laminates, PET, nylon, and many different films.
  • Dry Time:  IQ990 achieves fast dry time without a heater.  It’s ideal for printing environments where the use of a heater is not possible or not desired.  Packaging lines are not amenable to putting a heater on production so IQ990 is a wise choice.  While mail addressing shops are more likely to use a heater, there are distinct advantages to going with a self-drying ink.
  • Print Quality:  IQ990 prints very dark with acuity on films and other substrates.  Its properties include excellent light fastness, plus water / heat resistance.
  • Decap Time:  With IQ990 the decap time has been extended to accommodate intermittent printing.  Under normal circumstances you can expect up to 1 hour decap time.
  • Ease of Use:  The ink handling and maintenance associated with IQ990 is very simple.  Just wipe the print head before use.   IQ990 uses water-resistant dyes but it is not recommended for printed materials that get immersed in water.  This product also contains alcohol-based solvents.  Therefore, on occasions you may have to wipe the print head with a dry, non-abrasive cloth.  When removing IQ990 from the printer simply attach a plastic clip to reduce the chance of clogging.
  • Trustworthy Partner:  IQ990 uses a genuine Hewlett-Packard 45 Si cartridge.  This means high quality, long throw distance, and tested to work in virtually any packaging or mailing environment.
In final analysis, we recommend you try Heatless Ink IV IQ990, or just IQ990 for short.
